Shape of the Wind on the Shallows

I hit the ground running from this old town
I felt around for truth that won’t let me down

In this passion play we must wade
In the waters of blindness
Gambling on the cards that we played
To collect us some kindness

I left my home to be alone and be afraid
I didn’t know there’s a price to be paid

Drifting in our tides we just slide
On our doubt ridden spirals
In our circus rides neon lights
Drone on hopes going viral

Always in disguise we all take
The shape of the wind on the shallows
Rowing for the coast with the waves
Avoiding our rocky tomorrows
